If we TRY to relax, we build more tension. Relaxation does not come as a result of trying a technique, it is the understanding: live in the moment for the sheer joy of it. You are here to enjoy life to its fullness.
Technology is supposed to make life easier. However, the reality for most of us is life is more chaotic than ever before. Our consciousness is continually pulled to responding to calls, texts, emails, looking at posts or blogs or headlines. The average person checks their phone 110 times a day. Every moment filled with preoccupation, mostly about the future and the outside world. Compared to people who lived one hundred years ago our lives are a whirlwind, 24-7.
Everyone is racing. The reality is we can only live one moment at a time. Life happens only in the here and now. Being in the present moment means there is no where to go and nothing to be achieved. Each moment will in fact take us where we are going.
Today we need to relearn the art of slowing down.
How to slow down?
Moving Meditation in the aerial hammock is a great help in slowing down, it can help us look at the fears we have of slowing down, of the fear of being considered lazy, of being a failure, of not achieving goals, if we slow down we are lost, we are anonymous, how will we make our mark?
Life is not going anywhere, it is purposeless. It simply is. When this can be embodied deep in our being, we can slow down. If we reduce life to technology, we will lose all flavours of joy.
The only way to live, love and enjoy is to forget the future, it does not exist. Life is a pilgrimage from no where to no where and in between is NOW HERE, nowhere consists of these two words, ‘NOW’ ‘HERE’.
Meditation grows in the soil that has the understanding of this change from being ‘achiever’ focused to being ‘relaxed in your being’.
Remember in your practice today, that you are perfect as you are, with all your imperfection, perfection is there.
Image your hammock like a protective barrier from any other negative experience or hurt, so nothing will disturb this meditative environment you are in. Surround yourself in your hammock, like surrounding yourself in a new climate of joy.
Live in this moment for the sheer joy of it. Be in your body for the sheer joy of it. Our brain absorbs information from every sense if we are awake to it. Go into this moment and live every sensory experience of this as though you have never experienced a moment as clear as this.
